City On Fire (DVD)

'City On Fire' was a big Hong Kong hit and, due to frequent nods from Quentin Tarantino, has recently become a cult in the west also. However I wasn't particularly interested. Certainly, Tarantino fans might watch it to see the numerous scenes and images that were *ahem* "borrowed" in 'Reservoir Dogs', such as the suits, the 'Little Green Bag' walk and scenes of people squaring-up with guns. Other than that it is quite a below-average heist thriller, complete with trademark Hong Kong melodrama.
