Disaster Movie (DVD) ... only reason that I actually paid money to go and see this was because a friend wanted me to go to the cinema with them, and there was nothing else that either of us wanted to see. By the end, both of us seriously regretted wasting money and time on the film! Plot? It was a parody of loads of recent films, and I m told that it was filmed in style of Cloverfield, which meant that the camera work was all very shaky and looked like it had been done on a budget! They tried to work in a plot to the all of the parodies but it didn t really work. As Good As It Gets (DVD) ... seem to be a whole bunch of films with an aging Jack Nicholson falling in love in them don t there? They can actually be pretty easy to confuse, but let me tell you which one this is. As Good As It Gets is a comedy from 1997 about a single mother, an eccentric author and a gay artist who all make friends. This is the first film I ever saw that showed me what it was like to be Obsessive Compulsive, and as a character study the movie is enthralling. Nicholson does a great job as Melvin, the grumpy OCD writer who is forced out of his comfort zone when he has to look after his neighbour s dog. Austin Powers - International Man Of Mystery (DVD) ... remember when I first watched Austin Powers - I had my bet mate over and a girl, and my mate and I laughed and laughed whilst the girl sat silently; this is a boy s film! Austin Powers is a comedy starring Mike Myers as a cool spy brought back from the 1960s into the 90s to take down Dr Evil, the bad guy! The film is a spoof of other spy films, and there are numerous references to Bond et al which you will enjoy more the more you know about the genre. Certain ideas such as gadgets are joked at, and even characters from Bond pop up (Random Task).
