BathBlue Tropic Thunder (DVD): ... can be said about the cast of this movie. Jack Black, Tom Cruise, Steve Coogan, Robert Downey Junior, Ben Stiller and Jay Baruchel. It s packed full and I have named the list on purpose because thats how the film feels, somewhat overwhelmimg and as if it swings from scene to scene, padding and filling the cinematic spaces trying to cram the value for money into the fees that these actors have earned. I don t no...

BathBlue Knocked Up (Blu-ray)
... only review: This movie is about a chance encounter between 2 adults, which leads them on a journey and being responsible adults they try to do the right thing. As such they have to pay for their encounter and have to suffer the consequences. In case you think I m being vague, the title of the movie, clearly indicates what I m talking about, a pregnancy. When it begins all we are shown is that Seth Rogen is a layabout, unfocused, with pipe dreams of setting up his own company, who hangs around with his friends, mostly living day to day in a haze. Heigl playing our female lead is the polar opposite, a successful media professional and their meeting is in an arena...

stufflover Meet The Spartans (DVD)
... the spartans is one of many spoof films currently available and this one makes a spoof of the 300, transformers, American Idol and stomp the yard. I remember the days when spoof movies were actually funny and not so wide spread, but this one seems to be very low budget, and full of gay jokes and sexual references. Add some nudity this may as well be a badly made porn movie with a dialouge! Many of the awful jokes in this movie are way over milked, making them even less funny and even more irritating. A big example of this is the pit of death, was somewhat funny the first time, but by the 20th time ( I kid you not) I was almost crying with anger at it. This film might...

Dangey2009 The Sting (DVD)
... 1973 The Sting was released originally and picked up the Best Picture oscar along with a host of other awards. After the successful Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Paul Newman and Robert Redford team up for another movie. The film is set in the 1930 s and is extremely enjoyable. The movie begins with Robert Redford, who plays a small town grifter and con man, Johnny Hooker, making a profit on a con game he and and pro Luther Coleman played by Robert Earl Jones have set up. However, it looks like the con on the wrong people and after mob boss Doyle Lonnegan finds out Luther Coleman is killed and Johnny Hooker gets out of town looking for revenge and looking for a ...
