I'm quite proud that England's major contribution to the vampire genre is Count Duckula. Bram Stoker was Irish, Dracula was Transylvanian and Interview With A Vampire was American, but that's fine - because there's something so quintessentially English about a vegetarian vampire. Who is a green duck. I'm not even going to ask which vampire thought it was a great idea to sire a mallard. He must have had a good reason for it at the time. I've never been tempted to bite a duck, myself. Maybe it's a vamp thing. Anyway. Count Duckula is the story of a vampire duck, resurrected by his loyal servant Igor.
