As with so many others before me this was the anime that got me into anime. It was Cowboy Bebop whcih made me realise that anime was not just some childish faddy thing for over sexed up young schoolkids but a unique artform that could ooze class, style and just be flat out entertaining. What's so great about Cowboy Bebop then? First and foremost the characters. Amongst the four central characters (And a dog) there's not one that you won't be besotted with post episode 10. Spike is on some levels a kick ass kung fu heroes on others a loner with a tragic past and on others....just a plain bumbling idiot. Its the meshing of the three that makes him ... Overview The "Cowboy bebop" movie is based on the short running but massively popular anime series of the same name. Therefore to fans of the series this an essential purchase. To non-fans the plot is self explanatory and doesn't require any specialist series knowledge to follow. Review Most people looking to buy this film will be so fond of the series that I could write that it was worse than Son of the Mask and Battlefield Earth put together and they still woudn't care, they'd buy it anyway. Well happily it isn't, but unfortunately it just isn't as good as it could have been. The reason for such devout fans is that Cowboy Bebop ... Read the complete review

Firstly, I'm not a raving anime fanatic. Secondly, Cowboy Bebop is one of the best television series ever produced. There are, on rare occasions, TV series that transcend the genre they were created for. By all accounts, Bebop was originally created because the company that produced it wanted 'something with spaceships'. It could easily have turned out to be derivative and dull, but thanks to some innovative writing, red-hot style and incredible music, Bebop is far more than just another cult TV show. The plot itself is relatively complex, but to explain it (and thereby ruin it) in this review would be criminal. The following brief outline ... Read the complete review

Being an anime fan, I was extremely pleased to get the opportunity to see this wonderful anime. That opportunity came in the form of new(ish) channel "CNX" (Sky chan 244, Telewest chan 148), despite all the repeats, gawd bless 'em! To be honest, I was amazed by the first 5 minutes, which is like me, jumping to conclusions before seeing the whole thing. But for a change, I was right. It was pure anime gold and I don't say that lightly. Anyway, Cowboy Bebop, a 26 episode series, follows 2 bounty hunters, Spike and Jet, a duo that usually have to spend their bounty on damage repair and hospital bills.... Spike Spiegel is the ...
