Crank is an action thriller movie released in year 2006. The movie was written and directed by Mark Neveldine and Brain Taylor. The film was produced by Michael Davis and Tom Rosenberg. Crank is a story of a hit-man Chev whose enemy poisoned him. Chev and his girlfriend plans to kill his enemy.

Cast and Crew:

Jason Statham portrays Chev Chelios.
Jose Pablo plays a role of Ricky Verona.
Amy Smart plays a role of Chev's girlfriend Eve.
Efren Ramirez portrays Kaylo, a friend of Chev.


In the opening scene Chev wakes up in his apartment and finds a DVD. When he plays this DVD he sees that Verona has injected a deadly poison in his body. This poison is named Beijing Cocktail and Verona claims that he will be dead in an hour. He has the only one solution to keep his heart beats up. He runs towards LA and he feels lit bit palliated. While driving he calls Dr. Miles but he is not in LA. Then he calls Kaylo to find Verona. Chev enter in one bar, put the gun on Orlando and asks him to put down Verona. He doesn't the Verona's location. Dr. Miles calls him and tells him to get epinephrine. Chev goes to Marlito for help but he refuses to help. Suddenly he received a call from Kaylo who tells him that he finds Verona's brother. Chev shoots Verona's brother. He calls Verona and tells him that he is on the way to kill him.

Now Chev goes to hospital for epinephrine. The nurse refuses to give him epinephrine and calls police. He starts running and finds epinephrine in nasal spray. Chev injects epinephrine to himself. He overdosed himself so he is running crazily on the streets of LA. Chev steals motorcycle and goes to Eve's house. He tells her that they have to leave. Both goes to restaurant and Chev tells her that he is hit-man not a programmer. He tells him whole story how he was injected with the poison and all. He receives a call from Kaylo. Kaylo tells him the location of Verona. He goes to factory to kill Verona. Again he receives a call from Dr. Miles saying that he is back to LA. In his office Dr Miles tells him that he is overdosed and his condition is disastrous. Chev arrange a meeting with Verona to exchange antidote and his brother's necklace. Now what happens next? Does Verona give him the antidote? Do Chev manage to survive? To know all the answers watch "Crank".

I love to watch action movies and after watching Transporter of Jason Statham I start liking him. So this is another movie of Jason which I enjoyed last night. My expectation from movie is not high but I got a pleasant surprise after watching this movie. I wasn't expecting that kind of humor in the movie. The plot is fast paced and they set up a story in first few minutes. After that there is lots of action and chase. So I can say story is genuine and clever. Script writers stir the new ingredients in the genre. The camera work and cinematography is awesome and reminiscent. The camera man is genius and you can see camera is moving nearly. Camera is adding new perspective to the movie. Movie is packed with lots of action sequences and real stunts. The car crashes, gun fights and explosions are inventive and well executed.

As I already mentioned in the review of The Transporter that Jason Statham knows how to handle and delivers things. He made no mistake and did his job perfectly. His character has depth and this is his best performance I have ever seen. He proves that he has the things that can make him an action superstar. Amy Smart's work is also fine but her chemistry with Jason is solid. Movie was not a big blockbuster but box office success is huge. For action thriller lovers a must see. I bet you will be thrilled and your heart will pump after watching Crank. That's all I can give you. Thanks for reading.
