Advantages: It's modern, sexy, and can be funny.

In a re-make of the Dangerous Liaisons, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe get to strut their stuff in this sexy drama.

When I first watched it, I was drawn to the way it presents issues, in a witty, and modern way. It peruses each character in an individual and perfect factor, making it an original drama; from the way they speak up to the way the set is decorated.

Despite the fact it is a serious drama, there are many funny sides to it, mainly delivered by the clumsy Cecile. It also doesn't provide that 'heavy eyelids' reaction.

Sarah puts aside all her Buffy qualities, to play the seductive Kathryn. Together with Sebastian (Ryan), the stepsiblings start to scheme there way through people’s lives.

The stakes are high when they agree upon a deliciously diabolical wager of sexual conquest without consequences.

The naïve Cecile Caldwell (Selma Blair) and the virginal Annette Hargrove (Reese Witherspoon) are drawn into the story, when Sebastian agrees to de-virginise Annette in return for a night with Kathryn and the fact that sleeping with the new headmasters daughter before school even starts would do wonders for his reputation.

Things start to go wrong when Sebastian breaks the main rule.....Never fall in love.

With a guest appearance from Joshua Jackson (Dawson's Creek), playing a less-than straight guy, it is definitely worth adding to your video collection!
