DARA O'BRIAIN TALKS FUNNY is the title of the successful Irish comedian's stand up gig filmed at the Hammersmith Apollo in London. The Setting holds a few thousand people and was sold out. The title comes from his Irish accent and because he is touring people thinkthe Irish accent is funny. I feel O'Briain's stand up is similiar to Rob Brydon particularly the audience interaction. O'Briain's stand up is very improvised and he says he was going to call it the 'you had to be there tour' because it varys night by night. I had never heard of Dara O Briain until a couple of years ago when he appeared in a television programme called Three Men in a Boat with Rory Mcgrath and Griff Ryhs Jones. Since then Dara seems to be everywhere and even hosts a show called Mock the Week. When searching for Christmas present ideas for my husband I came across this DVD on www.amazon.co.uk and as I thought he was a very funny comedian I decided to buy it. Last year my husband bought me a Rod Stewart CD that he wanted so I felt that buying him a DVD that I wanted was only fair! The show is very funny and includes a lot of audience participation. He basically talks to various ... Read the complete review
