Frank Langella has always been a classic baddie and there's certainly no change here, because as Dracula he might have been more visually evil, but as the corrupt Chief of Staff in the US government of President Bill Mitchell he's something far more loathsome, the despised power behind the throne which we all know and revile. In a pretty slight retelling of the Prince and Pauper legend, Langella's is probably the most powerful performance, although Kevin Kline and Sigourney Weaver as Mr and Mrs President give their usual solid contributions. It's the slimy and totally unpleasant Langella, however, who dominates much of the better moments here. ... Read the complete review
