Disadvantages: the only disadvantage is that i couldnt get tickets for this tour to see live

Dave Gorman is one of the leading and original comedians in the country and after loving his earlier work my sister bought me The Googlewhack Adventure book for my birthday one year. After beginning to read the book i had to put it down and sit at my pc for about a week attempting to find a "googlewhack".

The book was utterly fantastic and enthralling and then when i heard that he was doing it in stand-up i tried to get tickets but i failed so i had to wait for the DVD.

The DVD is basically a lecture and telling of his book which in turn is also a stand-up show the likes you will not have seen done before as essentially this is a true story.

For those of you who dont know what this is about i shall try and give you a quick idea of what a googlewhack is and what the show is actually about. A Google whack is a Google search query consisting of two words that return a single result. A Googlewhack must consist of two actual words found in a dictionary. A Googlewhack is considered legitimate if both of the searched-for words appear as live links to Answers.com, in the blue bar atop the Google results. Sound confused i was until i sat at google trying to find one (its actually really really difficult).

The Stand-up show is a retelling of the true life events that happened to Dave Gorman when having a bit of a identity crisis and wanting to write a novel he is given a advance from a publishing house and sets to work on writing his novel. As he begins to write he recieves a email from someone explain that he is a googlewhack and therefore goes about discovering what these things are and it becomes a year long obsession taking him across the globe whilst not writing his book.

I dont think it fair to explain what happens along the way because it will ruin your experience.

The stand-up show is one of the funniest and cleverest ive ever seen and it is also slightly tragic as its from a human perspective and everyone's life isnt just one long joke.

I laughed so much during this show and i have now got tickets for Gormans' next 2 tours of the UK as i really dont think there is anyone in this country who can do the thing this man does.

Summary: Prepare to spend hours of your life sat at google for the next 2 weeks or so
