'First His Wife. Now His Daughter. It's Time To Even The Score!' Death Wish 2 moves the action from New York City to LA for this sequel. Paul Kersey is an architect who went on a one-man killing spree in the original film after his wife and daughter were viciously attacked and raped in his own home. A move to the filth-ridden streets of LA doesn't seem like a good idea then. It is always interesting to read the film reviews in this excellent opinion service. You can often tell that the reviewer has not only enjoyed the film but that the viewing of the film has enhanced their lives, made them feel better (or worse) as a result of seeing the film. What I am reviewing is the DVD of the film "Death Wish 2" Region 2 format 16:9 widescreen Dolby digital sound English language Subtitles English or Hindi 86 minutes approx 18 rated It had been a while since the first Death Wish film had been in the cinema, in fact quite a while as it was released in 1974. After this film proved very popular with cinema goers they kept asking if a sequel was going to be made. Michael Winner wanted to keep it for a while before he made the sequel as the first was such a hit that he didn't want to release a new one straight away but rather leave it a while until ... I thought that this was an unnecessary sequel. There are plenty of ridiculous deaths, stilted dialogue, continuity errors galore, and cardboard characters. This was a film made by profiteers and in an effort to maximize the profits I reckon that they didn’t even hire a director ! In fact, this contrived sequel looks as though it was photographed, edited and scored by pornographers. Charles Bronson has a few memorable one-liners, but that's about it. If you haven’t seen it, don’t bother. ... Read the complete review
