Cheap Cheap Cheap. Three words that perfectly sum up the fifth and thankfully last entry into the Death Wish canon. Charles Bronson once again dons the guise of Paul Kersey : Vigilante extraordinaire, who will stop at nothing to rid the world of the scum of the streets. Amazingly enough Charles Bronson's salary was actually more than the film's entire budget - a tenner then. Here again the action shifts to New York (here Toronto doubles as the Big Apple) . Well all I can say is that this movie, the final in the Death Wish series, was a worth sequel to part 4 of the series. Yes it was that bad ! I’m not too surprised that Charlie agreed to do this one as part two was nearly as bad as this one. It is really tame compared to the others in the series. No doubt the filmmakers feared the censors , or maybe they thought too explicit violence is a thing of the past. Thankfully the Death Wish series is now a thing of the past also !
