Advantages: Slightly amusing

Disadvantages: Leading actor miscast, not as funny as one would think

After seeing the trailer for this film a few times, we decided to rent the film. Thinking that the concept of the film (lowly fish tank cleaner turned male escort) sounded really unusual and amusing we watched with baited breath thinking we were in for an evening of giggles.

But oh dear .....

The film was really boring, only slightly amusing and the actor they had for the Deuce - well, he was poorly cast, let's say.

Without giving too much of the plot away. Deuce is left in charge of the top Gigalo's flat whilst he is abroad; he's looking after a poorly fish. Unfortunately ... somehow or other .... the guy's precious fish tank gets busted by Deuce and the whole of the rest of the film is about Deuce trying to earn the money to replace the fish tank before Gigalo get's home .

YAWN.

How does he do it ? By becoming a gigalo himself. Believable? Not likely! He gets a pimp who sends him to the wierdest load of oddballs (pardon pun) going, but Deuce happens to fall in love with one of them.

Ther's much more happening in the film, like a crazy detective with a *thin* penis, Deuce being taken to court for his activities, etc. It's pretty run of the mill stuff though. I wouldn't want to watch it again really.
