Advantages: Easy to get humour, easy to follow story line, Easy to watch
Disadvantages: Slows down a bit in places
Contrary to what others have said here, I though this was a hilariously funny film, whether it was the medication I was taking at the time or maybe the company I was in. This is a funny film. If this film doesn’t raise even a titter then you must have had a humour bypass. The story is that Rob Schneider is Deuce Bigalow is a hopeless fish tank cleaner, who gets a job babysitting a real gigalo’s sick fish. This invoves him living in the said gigalo’s house whilst he is away in europe on “business”, But Deuce accidentally wrecks the house, and is forced to pay for the damage by becoming a gigalo himself. This leads to him taking on some of the weirdest clients imaginable one who he ultimately falls in love with. A lot of the gags went over my head the first time I watched it, Yes I did watch it more than once, 4 times actually, but some of the gags do get funnier each time you see them. I have to say that this is one of the funniest films I’ve seen for quite some time and I can heartily recommend it, as long as you invite me round to watch it. Again. The humour is very childish or crude in places and this doesnt require a great deal of brain power to work them out, making this an excellent, after the pub on friday night film. - 01/08/01 Nice review, 4 times? You could have said more on the details though. How can people not find 'my little german tourist' funny? ANd what about the whole social satire bit of this film fluff? 'He-bitch' Slap anyone? Chortle. Must watch that film again, I too can be the best Male Gigolo $10 can buy. |
