Kevin Lomax (Keanu Reeves) is an incredibly successful lawyer with a 64-0 record, he is head hunted by a top New York firm, but he doesn't realise that the pact he is entering into goes way deeper than winning cases. Kevin is offered money and fame by John Milton (Pacino), the head of the New York Law firm for joining them, Kevin accepts and brings along his wife Mary Ann (Theron). Before he knows it he is involved in cases, risks losing his wife his career and his life, the film twists and turns and I won't ruin the twist at the end but is well worth a look. This movie scared the absolute crap out of me when I watched for the first time. It was one of those movies that was not about the gore, the concept of the movie was incredibly scary. Al Pacino makes a fantastically wicked devil. The story is about Kevin Lomax, played by the handsome Keanu Reeves, who moves to New York City from Florida to become a prominent attorney. He moves with his beautiful down to earth wife Mary Ann, played by the beautiful Charlize Theron. Once in New York, Kevin accepts an offer at a very prominent firm in Manhattan owned by John Milton, played fantastically by Al Pacino. At first the job rolls along smoothly, but as Kevin gets better ... Read the complete review

Gee, it seems to be such a long time since I wrote anything, I’ve forgotten what Microsoft word looks like LOL! For those of you who read my last op (as always very much appreciated) I have not been enforced into the unfortunate ranks of job obscurity. Far from it actually (more to come on that at another time and juncture!). Having had a wee bit of time on my hands, I thought it was time to get “back to basics” and enjoy my favourite waste of time – Saturday night at the movies! Trawling through the ever-growing video collection I seem to constantly be adding to, I thought I would delve through the archives and came across a wee gem of a ... Read the complete review
