When the adverts for the original showing of Dexter came on the FX television channel back in April or May 2008 I remember watching with great interest. A show about a serial killer who worked for the police, surely this would be too over the top to even imagine watching and the trailer seemed to confirm that, picking some terrible clips to put together. Dexter Season 1 After hearing nothing but good things about yet another great series from America I decided to give it a go finally and got myself the season one dvd boxset of Dexter. I wasn't disappointed! Dexter Morgan (played by Michael C. Hall) is the main character and is who the programme is named after. I was first drawn to Dexter, by the actor playing the lead, Michael C Hall whom I had liked when he starred in another of my favourite shows, Six Feet Under. Not content with the darkness if Six Feet Under, which is set in a funeral home, this time he stars as Dexter Morgan, a serial killer and blood spatter analyst. Sounds a bit obscure doesn't it?
