Dial M for Murder is a typically good Hitchcock thriller. It is slick with a well written script and a story line which has prompted remakes. The recent remake being 'A Perfect Murder' with Gwyneth Paltrow. Dial M for Murder is definitely superior. It is a good, atmospheric thriller about a man who plans to murder his wife because she is having an affair. Whilst Dial M for Murder follows the trend of other Hitchcock masterpieces like 'Suspicion' with Cary Grant, which also deal with man's temptation to murder his wife, this film is perhaps not as memorable as some of his other work.
