Advantages: Highlights the friendship and then the feud in detail

Dig! is a documentary about the bands The Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Dandy Warhols. It documents their relationship and how they each had their own desire to revolutionise the music industry and become more successful with their music.

It is a very interesting documentary and shows how a good relationship between bands can deteriorate and become one of the biggest feuds in the music industry. Even turning bad enough for Anton Newcombe the lead singer of The Brian Jonestown Massacre to send a shoebox to The Dandy Warhols containing bullets wrapped in paper with each of the band members names on them.

The documentary focuses on gigs they played together and then The Dandy Warhols later success. It also documents all of the changes in The Brian Jonestown Massacres line up and Anton's struggles with drugs and other problems he had.

Anton also has his own unique way of working often producing albums within a day and releasing them burnt onto his own CDs.

I would recommend this documentary to anyone with an interest in either of these bands or in the music industry as a whole, it is an interesting and also occasionally shocking watch.
