I think I was about 30 when I first watched this film and I loved it. I'm 39 now and I still think it is a brilliant film. It's one of those films that you can watch again and again and never get bored of it.
The film is about Baby (Grey) and her mum, dad and sister who are going on holiday to a family American equivalent to a Bultins. It is set in the sixties and has some brilliant music that reminds me of my childhood when my mum played them. After arriving there, Baby meets Johnny (Swayze) a much older very skilled dancer. After Baby offers to help Johnny with a dance because his usual partner is unable to dance, they begin to practice dancing together and begin to fall for each other. Baby's dad and Johnny's boss obviously won't approve of their relationship, but what can they do?
It's a classic film, one that I like very much. It's quite old fashioned, so although you know that Baby and Johnny did get going in the bedroom department, you don't see anything which makes it more suitable for younger eyes. There isn't any swearing in the film which is also good and makes the film more appealing to older viewers in my opinion.
I love the music in the film, songs like "I've had the time of my life" and "Hungry eyes" are just two of the brilliant songs that I love that are in the film. The dancing in the film was brilliant, really fantastic which makes it great to watch. There was some real talent in the film there.
It's a classic kind of film, boy meets girl but they're not meant to love each other, but despite that, it isn't cheesy and has more than the averag love film because of the great dancing and music in the film.
Overall, I love this film, it's brilliant. I'm a big fan of Patrick Swayze so loved watching him strut his stuff in this film. A brilliant film!
