This movie is the original and so it may not appeal to those who have seen the modern remake. However the acting is brilliant and even the animals are controlled.
With Rex harrison, Anthony Newley and I think Juliet Mills this movie is filled with funny one liners and action of a Disney movie type although no animation exists as such.
With songs including If I could talk to the Animals the lyrics have been around for decades but this film still stands the test of time.
Animals of all creation creep, crawl and run along the movie as the trio set off on a journey across the world looking for a giant lunar moth which you see at the end. Other creatures include the push-me-pull-you, and the giant sea snail.
Okay the animals don't really have talking abilities but the actors give you that effect. Great for the younger generations and adults who want to join in the songs.
