Half way through Series 3, and the adventures just keep getting better and better...! ***** A new companion. A new style. A new Era. ***** Doctor Who started way back in 1963, with William Hartnell playing the Doctor! And his performance must have been so strong as we as a whole are still obsessed with this gripping programme, 44 years later! Since then, we have met 10 Doctors, and adored every one of them! This Doctor (10th) is played by the lovely David Tennant, living up-to-date adventures in his big blue box, more commonly known as a TARDIS. But the Doctor does not travel alone! He had lost his recent companion, Rose, in a battle ... Read the complete review

Season three of the new Doctor Who series was almost certainly the most challenging so far. Three years into its new run, the show needed to maintain the feeling of freshness so evident in the first two seasons, whilst battling to combine the fan base need to provide shocks, spills and knowing references to the past. Furthermore, Billie Piper's departure at the end of the season two was a bit of a wrench and as if to add to the mix, a new companion, Martha Freeman, now needed to find her feet with cast and fans alike. We also meet Tallulah ( 3 l's and a h ) and her love Lazlo who are soon parted when strange ... Read the complete review

The second disc in the third series of the modern Doctor Who gives us 4 episodes, two of which are a double-episode tale involving the Doctor's long serving arch enemies, the Daleks. With the first three episodes having set the scene with the emergence of Martha Jones as the Doctor's new companion, I was read for some gritty episodes that the writers could get their teeth stuck into. The Episodes The first two episodes are Daleks in Manhattan and Evolution of the Daleks. The Tardis brings the Doctor and Martha to Manhattan Island in the 1930s with the Great Depression having set in and many inhabitants of New York having to set up camp in the parks ...
