If you're picking up classic Doctor Who DVDs and looking for a good, all round story then Tomb of the Cybermen is a great choice for many reasons. Most specially, Tomb of the Cybermen is the earliest story starring Patrick Troughton to survive in its entirety. All earlier stories are missing an episode or two and in some cases are gone entirely. This is made even more enjoyable by the pure quality of the story. We find the Doctor joining an archeological expedition to discover the remains of the "long dead" Cybermen. Upon entering the booby trapped base of, the team succeeds in waking up some preserved Cybermen and the Doctor must find a way of keeping them ... Read the complete review
