Advantages: morgan freeman, great plot

Disadvantages: gory, misses alot from the book

This is a Warner Brothers film, directed by Laurence Kasdan and is based on my favourite book by Stephen King. With Morgan Freeman starring, you can't go wrong.

The Plot

Its about four friends who rescue a boy called Douglas or 'Duddits' from some school bullies, and end up being granted with some strange powers. Years later, although they have their own lives, they meet up every year to go hunting. This year, however, they find themselves in a quarantine led by Morgan Freeman, and become part of a battle against virus-carrying aliens, with the help of Duddits who is reaching the end of a fight with leukemia.

The film is rated as a 15. The running time is 128 minutes, and the dvd has subtitles in English. French, Arabic and Dutch.

Its a great film, although very gory at times, so not for the faint hearted. If you like alien films, horrors and morgan freeman then I would definitely recommend it. I'd read the book aswell, cos it helps to understand the film alot better.

Summary: if you like alien films and morgan freeman then you should definitely watch it!
