It was so long watching this movie but i got to see it again on DVD last time i watched it was on TV and that was ages ago. Rik Mayall does some of his classic stuff he did in the young ones and bottom. The story is all about Lizzie (Phoebe Cates) she had a childhood imagery friend called Drop Dead Fred (Rik Mayall). OMG!! Drop Dead Fred it just absolutely hilarious, it is a must have for anyone. I remeber watching and loving this when i was much younger and i was shopping a few months ago and came across the DVD, I just had to buy it! Drop Dead Fred was originally released in 1991 but the DVD was released in 2004. I has a running time of 94 minutes and has a classification of 12 years old. Even thinking about it makes me have a cheeky smirk on my face every time. This movie is childish yet witty and very comical; Rik Mayall, a favourite actor of mine, plays one of the funniest roles ever. Drop Dead Fred is the kind of film that is defiantly too old for kids, but that kids love if they get to watch it. Drop Dead Fred is an early 90s film starring Rik Mayall. He was the imaginary friend of Elizabeth, when she was little he got her into as much trouble as he could, at the annoyance of her mum, the mega bitch, who ultimately traps him in a jack-in-the-box and tapes it up so he can't get out again to cause any more mischief. Just a quick review for anyone who might be wondering about this film. Where ever you have seen it and for whatever reason you are umming and aahing about watching it, just do it. This was one of my favourite films when I was a kid. Think I was about 4 years old when it came out, and my GOD I so wished I had an imaginary friend like Drop Dead Fred!
