There are a lot of film writers that seem to underestimate the power of human nature. It is the spontaneity of man that has made us a successful species. If over the centuries we had stuck to the same things our predators would have found us easy prey and we would never have evolved from the caves. The fact that we do things that seem out of character or bizarre is the very fabric of what makes us human. Why then in films do villains set up complex plans that require people to do certain things?
