This story line is spread out thinley over spectacular sequences of scenery, but the story line of this film is not what its about, this film is a disscussion of the new way of living and the old way of living and the pros and cons of the two back in the 60s.
The film trys to capture both bohemian and conservative life at the time, and also trys to capture the breathtaking wonder of a motorcycle trip through America.
The film features three of Hollywood's finest, Jack Nicholson, Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda in well written and performed roles which are perfect food for thought as well as entertaining characters.
Most will enjoy this film apart from those that will grow impatient at its long motorcycling sequences and minimal narrative.
