After discovering Eddie Izzard about 8 years ago in his first video, I have watched everything he has done and seen him live 6 times. He has got to be the cleverest and funniest comedian I have ever seen, with a style that suits almost everybody.

Live and Unrepeatable is possibly the best of all of Izzards live shows. It was made during the time when he knew how good he was but we didn't. He had a cult but not huge following, didn't market himself very well and insisted that the video was not released until at least 12 months after the live show had ended so that the paying audience had something over those who did not make the journey. Interesting method of marketing but I respected him for it.

Live and Unrepeatable is onw of those shows that couldn't offend anybody. Izzard has a very off-beat yet strangely middle of the road brand of hunour. Basically, he comments on every day life and every day goings-on in the most comical way. His thought patterns are unlike any other comedian I have ever seen and Izzard has the ability to make his audience warm to him very quickly.

I would recommend this to anyone as it will make lots of people laugh and won't offend even your Armish grandma.
