Advantages: great story, cast, and a solid all around movie

Disadvantages: they didn't make a sequel

To think this movie isn't well known amongst a huge number of people kills me. I grew up watching this film almost every night. Many of my friends have borrowed the DVD from me, and they too, like me have become addicted to it. The character development is extraordinary and you fall in love with every single character. The humour in the film is so specific and special your nearly smiling throughout the whole film. A stand out performance by Renee Zellweger will take you by surprise. It was only by chance that I found the dvd recently (I used to have it recorded on VHS) Empire Records is now on near the top of my favourite films of all time list! I won't spoil the story for you but don't be expecting your average teen movie, it's nothing like that. It is a crime for how badly this film did at the box office, but please don't miss it!
