Advantages: Wonderful story, happy tunes, great family film

I love this film. It starts in an animated style in Andalascia with Giselle dreaming of meeting her prince, she qucikly does and they are to marry the following day. However the prince's evil step mother has other ideas and she banishs Giselle to a place where there is "no happy ever after".

The journey sees Giselle arrive in New York, shortly followed by the Prince and Nathaniel (who pretends to aid the Prince whilst trying to kill Giselle for the evil step-mother). Giselle ends up staying with a father and his six year old daughter, the father is dating someone "Nancy", and they are meant to wed - but overtime the father and Giselle fall for each other. The Prince eventually catches up with Giselle and the step-mother decides she better come along to really put a halt to things.

How it all ends? Well watch it and see. The song scene "How do you know that you love her?" is brilliant - really uplifting. And everytime Giselle makes a new dress out of the families home furnishings is amusing.

This film has a real feel good factor about it and is funny at the same time.

Summary: Something different from Disney, charming and entertaining
