a truly classic anime.
the story follows a young girl drawn into another world ull of magical beasts and giant robots.
the the young girl is drew into a battle for supermacy as battles wage between two factions one deserving of rulership and one who wants to controll everyone.
what follows is a fairly drew out anime that is well worth the wait even if just for the battles especially were escaflowne is concerned the robot that transforms into a dragon its just too cool for words.
the show itself is fairly funny at points and is full of mystery concerning the background of the main charcter van and his atlantean roots.
but its definatley one of my favourite animes and has a firm place in my collection
