Not quite as good the original but still a brilliant film. This follows the story of the apes coming back to Earth's past. First thing I find hard to believe is the Gorilla being able to reach through any cage bars. Humans wouldn't put a Gorilla who is capable of ripping a human apart in a cage which it's arm could even reach through a tiny bit of. So Dr Milo getting killed is a stupid and pointless plot device (Yes, we know the actor playing him wanted to be written out quickly as he didn't like the costume, but it could have been done in a much better way). Watching the humanization of the apes under 1970's Earth culture is quite amusing. The ... Read the complete review

The original Planet of the Apes film, while dated and a little unfeasible in places, is often hailed among the greatest science fiction movies of the last century, but possibly less well-known are its four sequels. Out of all four, only this fourth instalment, ?Escape From the Planet of the Apes,? manages to be captivating and memorable, and despite a tendency for light-hearted moments it is on the whole a sinister and moving film. Don Taylor created this film, the 3rd and some say the best of the Planet of the Apes Series. Now sometimes when a director creates a film that is released on the coattails of the 2 films, the end result for such can be either a film that doesn't enhance the story that it is based on, or one that the stars talents aren't utilized properly, the end result film that is both a big sized egg, and one that isn't worth the fans time at all. Thankfully however, This isn't the case with this film, the director, being a genius here, has utilized the book and used its feel on the film, and very properly enhanced the stars talents as well. End result is ... Read the complete review

This film is still great normally the sequels get worse and worse but this is a great third film in the planet of the apes series . The ape earth in the future got blown up in the previous film, ( beneath the planet of the apes ) but luckily cornelius and the other chimp i can not remember the name of were luckily in the astronauts space ship and they travelled back to present day and it really is quite sad because they get killed by the government in the end ( sorry if that ruins the film for you ) and that is probably what the government would do . In all the other films your looking at a barbaric race of apes and then in this film it makes you realise that we are just ... Read the complete review
