Advantages: Action a plenty, nice fighting

Disadvantages: A bit dumb, predicatable

Exit Wounds is a film starring hit rapper DMX (who's music is FAR better then his acting ability I might add) and Steven Segal, most peoples lest favourite actor. Many complain of Segals inability to act, and for me, this just confirms the rumours, as this film basically is pants!

Trying *SO* hard to be Bruce Willis and die hard, this tells the story of Segal as Boyd, a Cop from Detroit that has little regard for authority or his superiors. When he is moved to a tough area of New York, he sees corruption beyond his belief, drug dealing cops, and the plot thickens (yeah right) when those he thinks he can trust turn out to be untrustworthy.

In his attempts (with DMX) to clean up the city, there is plenty of acting, plenty of fighting, even more violence, and very little else. This is a no-brains action flick that is certainly for a Saturday night in, on the home theatre and offers very little else. If you like an intelligent or thought provoking movie, chances are you will despise this film. If you want a dumb hard hitting flick with a few cans, then this has more than you might expect to offer, but for me only offers a single viewing rather then repeat.

The critics hated this movie, because they cannot see this film for what it is. It never tries to be fantastically intellectual, not does it try to be mission impossible type complexion with hard to figure characters. You get what you see, and if you can take this film for the action fest that it is, I see little reason why you cannot enjoy this movie. OK, the story isn?t in the slightest bit original, but how many films these days are. While I would be first to admit this is no Oscar winner and certainly no classic, rent this for a night in, and you might just enjoy it ? just not a lot! Lol!
