Advantages: Accurate to the original film

Disadvantages: Only 45 minutes long

Blue Harvest is one of the best Star Wars parodies I've seen. It's funny and well animated (to be expected from a Family Guy production), but also full of Star Wars references, so-much-so you have to wonder how many times the team that made this watched the actual Star Wars film to ensure they got as many details out of it as they could. Whether it's a sandtrooper poking his head up to say "look sir, a penny", or a stormtrooper banging his head on a doorframe, fans of the first Star Wars film will love every minute of this production. And that brings me to the biggest problem with this. Clocking in at only 45 minutes long, a lot of content from the original film has been dropped.

All of the regular Family Guy characters are present, and the "casting" is pretty much spot on, especially with I-want-to-destroy-everything-and-rule-the-world Stewie being given the role of Darth Vader.

This is definitely a good buy, whether you're a Star Wars fan, or just a fan of Family Guy.
