Family Guy - Season 2 is the second season of the multiple emmy award winning animated sitcom, Family Guy. I know there has been a lot of criticism of this show bearing more than a passing resemblance to another certain animated family. True, Peter Griffin is a fat unintelligent man with poor hygiene and an alcohol problem, which could be a description of Homer Simpson, but I see these shows as completely different with their own animation styles and humour. I don't watch Family Guy and think that this is just a carbon copy rip-off, it's a completely different entity. As it's the second season, the animation has improved, so there are brighter ... Family Guy returns with season 2 and it is an improvement on the already hilarious season 1. This time round there are 15 episodes all of them packed fall of jokes that will keep you laughing long after you stopped watching them. I will list a few of the best episodes in the season even though they are all great. Episode 1, Da Boom: Season 2 starts off with a bang as Peter is paranoid that at midnight on the 31st December 1999 the world will be destroyed. He insists his family stay in the basement with him instead of going to millennium parties. Peter is right and soon after midnight the world is thrown into chaos. Quickly food funs out and Peter comes ... Read the complete review

Family Guy started off very strongly with the first season and I remember being doubtful that the next season could surpass it... but I was proven wrong! The second season consists of 15 episodes on 2 discs and pretty much every one of them are brilliant. Compared to the newer releases, where gems are more difficult to find, it makes it great to re-watch these. A lot of reviews for these earlier seasons have compared Family Guy to The Simpsons. They're both based on a family and Peter is somewhat similar to Homer but that's about as far as it goes. Family Guy appeals to an older audience so there is a huge difference in the comedy and season two is classic ... Read the complete review

Family Guy - Season 2 Review: Overview: Family Guy is about the Griffin family who live in a small town called Quahog in Rhode Island. The family consists of Peter, Lois and their three kids Chris, Meg and Stewie. Here is a character bios for those not familiar with Family Guy Peter: Peter is the father of the three kids and resembles Homer in the Simpsons. He is a fat, beer-drinking oaf who loves his family. He seems to always get his family in trouble but by the end everything is back to normal Lois: Lois is a housewife who really cares for her three kids. She loves teaching the piano and spending time with the family (although 'time' ... Read the complete review

Having reviewed the first season of Family Guy, I felt it was well overdue for me to attempt the second season, especially seeing as the much-anticipated fourth season is now released in the UK (Yes, hopefully I'll write a third season review soon too!!) The first season was critically-acclaimed, and with much pressure therefore on this release, if would be expected to fail. Did it?? Of course not - if anything, due to the development of the characters, such as "Road to Rhode Island" which is based predominantly on Stewie and Brian, or "A Picture is Worth a 1000 Bucks", which focuses on Chris, this season is better and far more developed, ...
