Advantages: Stewie Kills Lois and Lois Kills Stewie are two of the best recent episodes

Disadvantages: Only 12 episodes and many are not worth watching more than once

Family Guy Season 7 was a bit of a turnaround from the lacklustre episodes of the last couple of seasons. This is definately not the best season out there. Season 3 and 4 are much more entertaining and provide plenty more laughs.

The first disc contains just 5 episodes and my two favourite from this disc are No Meals on Wheels and Boys Do Cry.

No Meals on Wheels is the first episode on the disc and in this episode Peter bys a full body set of pyjamas but after constantly shocking his family with the static electricity he builds up when sliding along the floor Lois takes up the carpets to find a coin with $50,000. With the money the family opens up a restaurant which soon becomes the haunt of Qauhog's disabled community to the annoyance of Peter. This episode starts of well with Peter's antics in his new pyjamas but it is more a case of the best of the worst on this first disc.

The season has just 12 episodes which makes it feel like FOX want to make as much money over here by limiting the amount of episodes in each dvd season released. In America the episodes come from their fifth and sixth season which begs the question why dont they release those same seasons on dvd over here with more episodes making them more value for money.

The second disc is an improvement on the first and has 7 episodes. It contains the best 2 episodes of the season and two of the best recent episodes of Family Guy. Stewie Kills Lois (the shows 100th episode) and Lois Kills Stewie are must see Family Guy episodes for any fan of the series.

In the first episode Stewie is ridiculed by Brian who is adament that Stewie will never go through with his plan to kill Lois. With Peter and Lois on a cruise Stewie takes his oppurtunity to finally kill Lois. With it almost certain that he has gotten away with his crime he continues his plan for world domination but only one person is capable of stopping him.

These two episodes are a highlight of a below par effort from the makers of Family Guy and I hope that things improve in the next season. Overall the better episodes of this season manage to make the purchase worthwhile but if Family Guy continues in this fashion it could drive away its fanbase.

Family Guy season 7 is currently £10.98 on amzon which is good value for money and I wouldnt pay to much more than that for this season.

Summary: An above average season but nowhere near the best of seasons 3 and 4
