Farscape is the best science fiction series I've ever watched. There, I've said it, now I'll have to justify it! Farscape follows the adventures of an astronaut, John Crichton, who, whilst piloting a prototype space ship of his own design, gets propelled through a worm hole into a distant part of the galaxy. Even though space is very empty (the clue's in the name), Crichton manages to exit the wormhole in the middle of a space battle and collides with a small spaceship, killing the pilot. As 'Farscape' has been given a go ahead for a 4 hour mini-series (which will air in the U.S in October) after it got cancelled at the end of it's magnificent fourth season, I thought I would go back to the first season of Farscape where it all started and just do a short review on the box set. Farscape was one of my favorite shows up until it got cancelled by the Sci-Fi Channel and I couldn't wait for the DVD's to come out, though instead of buying the five individual box sets I waited for the the whole set so I could watch all the episodes together in one go. I am working my way through all the DVD's and they are great! Not only can i watch my fav shows whenever i like, but the extra features are cool. Roughly one disc in each box set of two has special feature as the other has 3 episodes (ie disc 1 has three episodes and disc 2 has two episodes and the special features)they include profiles of the cast, making of documentary type things, behind the scenes info, cool pics, screensavers and a quiz on one of them!! I love the box sets in particular because on the spines of the boxes are individual pictures which when put in order with the others form a long picture of the crew on season two and a picture ...
