Fifty Dead Men Walking is based upon the true story of an informer who was resposnible for sending away some of the top IRA members during the troubles in Northern Ireland. The man in question is Martin McGartland and he is still in hiding from those who might want to get some revenge. McGartland has survived an attempt on his life when five bullets came in his direction.
