Rating:
Fighting is a 2009 film produced by Misher films. It is a 15 rated movie and stars the fabulous Terrence Howard (Crash, Four brothers) as a scam artist and wanna be fighting agent with Channing Tatum (Step up) as his new found star fighter. It plays for 1 hour 43 minutes. The basic plot centers around Shawn MacArther (Tatum) a good, small-town guy from living on the streets of New York. After trying to sell dodgy goods to make a living he is set upon by a small gang, ran by Harvey Boarden (Howard), who take his money causing a huge fight to break out in the street. Realising shawn can really look after himself, Harvey becomes his manager in the world of ... Read the complete review

Rating:
I thought this was a fairly good film but not fantastic or particularly memorable. However, I'm starting to get the feeling that it would be one of those films that I would enjoy more the second time I watched it, and having thought more about it since I watched it last night I'm already starting to appreciate it a bit more. It's a pretty understated film with no glitz or glamour in it and there isn't that blockbuster feel about it, which means that it doesn't really grab you straight away like some films do which have fantastic special effects or build-up, but I think it deserves respect in its own right. ***** Storyline ***** Channing Tatum ... Rating:
Last I saw Channing Tatum was in the brilliant Step Up, and then a short cameo at the beginning of Step Up 2. Much is expected of him as an actor, and not just someone who can lean on his dance skills, and in Fighting he shows us just what he has got. Fighting is a film with a rather basic and shallow plot. It follows Shawn MacArthur, who used to 'fight' when his dad was a coach. We see him picked up by Harvey and entered into the underground world of bare-knuckle street fighting. However, when he meets waitress Zulay, his priorities take a shift, and belief starts being a factor. Ultimately, it's more an examination of how someone down on his luck ... Read the complete review

Fighting is an action film that was released in 2009 at the cinema and the DVD is being released on 28th September of the same year. It is rated 15 due to strong violence, one sex scene and some strong language. The film is 105 minutes long. Plot Shawn MacArthur is a nice guy living in New York but he doesn't have much going for him. He has no friends or family around him and sells knock off goods on the street just to try and earn a bit of money and keep himself going. On a normal working day for Shawn, he gets ganged up on by some locals youths who work for Harvey Boarden, a hustler. The kids make off with some of Shawn's goods and all of his money so ... Rating:
The bar's never really set very high when you settle down to watch an American kung fu movie. You kinda sit down, wait for the goodies and baddies to present themselves, watch the action, see the good kid beat his way through a series of low-grade villains to reach the Mister Big, whereupon evil is defeated in a huge showdown, and perhaps a damsel rescued and duly walked off into the sunset. This is a movie very much of the 21st century. For an audience now educated in the ways of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), gone are the unrealistic spinning heel kicks and preposterous flying axe kicks that still pervade the world of Chinese fantasy, which ...
