Advantages: Funny in some parts, good lead actress and good directing .

Disadvantages: Too much like the rest .

I thought Final Destination 3 was an average, fun movie, but nothing more. Basically it's the same premise as the other two films but is set at an amusement park where a high school student (played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead) has a premonition of a rollercoaster accident involving herself and her friends. Most of them do get off the roller coaster and survive, but it's not long until death catches up with them (again).

I loved the other movies in the series so I kind of knew that I was going to like this one anyway. For this third installment they brought the original writers and director back behind the camera. For me there wasn't a drastic improvement or anything but they did do a good job with what they were able to work from. Also I think the writers new that it would be hard to keep the audienced gripped for a third time with the same story so they added a bit more comedy than the last movie FD2, which in my opinion has worked out quite well.

One thing I thought was really good was the opening to this film (though I would say that about the other films too) at the amusement park because of the way it built up to the big rollercoaster sequence. I must admit that I was expecting more from that particular scene but it done the job. There's also some other good and terrifying scenes in the movie but everything was kind of average. On the acting side of things everything was just okay. I thought the lead in the movie was very good but everyone else was just so so.

Overall I would say this an average movie that is mainly for fans of the Final Destination series though others may get a kick out of it. 6/10
