I bought this film a few years ago from my local newsagents for just £4.99, for that price i wasn't expecting it to be that good. Turns out i was very wrong its now my favorite martial art films of all time and i would highly recommend it. When Chen jun's (Lee) master is killed by a Japanese rival martial arts group, he goes out on a rampage to kill every member of the rival's. He comes across many dangers such as fighters with swords and many other talented martial artists, nun chucks have become a Bruce Lee's unofficial trademark and in this film you can see why, he truly is amazing with them. So if your into martial arts films or just want to see what all the ... Read the complete review

There seems to be a general feeling in the west that ‘Enter The Dragon’ represents Bruce Lee's finest hour, and while I agree that it is a fantastic film, I think that Fist Of Fury is a far better showcase for his skills. Enter The Dragon suffers from being tailored to a Western audience, and for me it's just a little too camp to be regarded as Lee's best film. In Fist Of Fury, Lee is pandering to a Hong Kong audience, in a film about Chinese oppression and patriotism - apparently audiences went wild on its release and Lee became a national hero. In Fist Of Fury, Lee plays Chen Zhen, a kung fu student who returns home to Shanghai to ... Read the complete review

As a man, Bruce Lee was an icon. But unfortunately his movies leave something to be desired. While groundbreaking and impressive at the time, his movies have dated so much more than many of his contemporaries. Having said that, this is probably his best film, though overshadowed by Jet Li's superior remake Fist Of Legend. Japanese and Chinese kung fu schools are battling one another in turn of the century Shanghai. Lee returns home to find his teacher dead, and Japanese rivals using dirty tactics to destroy his old school. Despite pleas from his master's successors, Lee takes on the Japanese at their own game. There are some impressive ... Read the complete review

My favourite Martial arts star is, undoubtedly, Bruce Lee. I was introduced to him at an early age and his popularity within the Martial arts genre has hardly diminished. Bruce is most well-known for his Hollywood role in Enter The Dragon, but a lot of people probably are not so acquainted with his early works. Fist of Fury was Bruce's second chinese film after the extraordinary success of The Big Boss which, at the time, broke all chinese box office records. Fist of Fury depicts Bruce as Chen, a second to none martial arts student at the Ching Wu school that has the most exemplary skills. He returns to the school after a time away, and finds his beloved ... Read the complete review

Fist of Fury is perhaps the defining moment in the career of Bruce lee, and is widely regarded as his best ever movie, and indeed one of the best martial arts movies of all time, and frankly I would argue too much with that, as it definitely is up there with the best! Also known as the Chinese Connection in the USA, this film was released in 1971 and created something of a storm, being hailed as a masterpiece that would later go on to become a real classic not only in terms of Hong Kong cinema, but worldwide. It?s been some time coming, but at last we in the UK have the chance to watch this film uncut, as in recent times, we have had an appalling version, with ... Read the complete review
