      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Good film, easy to watch, likeable characters.

The Football Factory, based on John King's best selling novel, is based around Tommy Johnson (played by Danny Dyer) and his involvement in British football Hooliganism.

This drama studies male culture and the violence surrounding football. It's action packed and deals with some heavy issues, such as drugs, murder and violence, but also has a brighter side with some classic comedy moments. It may not completely reflect real life and is said to "glorify" violence, but come on people it's only a film and there is a deep message opposing violence for anyone paying close enough attention.

This film really brought Danny Dyer to fame, yes the actor's done well in previous roles, but this is the first film where you actually look at him as the star of the show and look at him as more than the 2 dimentional "cheeky cockney" as he's usually portrayed.

The film is studded with other top British stars such as Roland Manookian and Frank Harper who really bring the film to life.

This is a violent film for adults only, and if you worry that this will encourage violence than maybe it should only be watched by people with a certain level of intelligence, because for me it's an action packed piece of British cinema that will go down in history (and it didn't make me go out fighting).

I now have The Football Factory on DVD and has become an old favourite of mine and my friends, I would reccomend it to any like minded people who want to be entertained with something that feels more real than american cinema.
