... starred in The West Wing and Brothers and Sisters, but he will forever be the character in St Elmo's Fire for me. His role in this film is not his best known - at least, I wasn't aware of it before, but I thought he did a good job of it - he is certainly convincing enough and I really enjoyed his camaraderie with Eddie - I'm not sure how much of this was acting, but for the purposes of the film, it worked very well. Mike Santini's police career has floundered after a scandal, so when he catches sight of a criminal and potential witness in a money-laundering trial who has so far evaded the FBI's radar, he sees this as a way to make his mark again.
