Advantages: Good acting, strong storyline.

Disadvantages: Differences from the book!!!

I watched this film after reading the book. I thought as it was called Mary Shelley's Frankenstein it would actually stick to the content of the book! But I was wrong in quite a few aspects!

The main storyline is this:ambitous scientist(Victor) creates a creature after many years of toil. The results are displeasing to him. He abandons the creature forever!

The creature then struggles to face society because of his horrific appearence, but gradually he becomes more educated and swears eternal vengence on Victor Frankenstein and his family.

The film follows the creature through his troubles. The creature, like in the book is often seen as the victim abandoned by his 'parent'.

Victor Frankenstein tells the story of the creation of the creature up until the point that it appears! I won't tell you any more of the plot because it'll spoil the story!!

I would recommend this film, but I would recommend people to read the book first!!!
