Advantages: Inspirng, Enjoyable, Sets a good mood, Great actors.

Disadvantages: Sometimes predictable.

The Freedom Writers is an astonishing film, it's based on a true story about a class who grew up in the rough side of town, they were brought up to gangs and violence and because of this have been stereotyped - either because of their race or the gang they belong to. The class get a young new teacher who struggles to get to grips with the school at first but after a while comes up with some techniques on which to apply to the students she teaches to try and relate to them. She teaches them tolerance, how to apply themselves and go on to pursue education beyond high school. This film is aimed at teenagers onwards and defiantly gives an inspiring and enjoyable experience. If you like those classic films with happy endings but not cheesy or repetitive then this film is for you - the variation in different circumstances and situations creates tension but gives off alot of emotions throughout.

Summary: All in all, if you're looking for a film to pick you up then this is the film for you.
