Advantages: Funny, Great storyline, can be watched again and again

Disadvantages: unsuitable for youngsters - sex scenes!, If you don't like the French accent, you could get a bit annoyed

Do you like comedy? Do you like Romance? Do you like the French? If you answered yes to any of those questions - well, maybe not the last one, but anyway - French Kiss is the film for you!

Set in 20th Century Europe, the plot crosses the channel from England to France as the characters get dragged into a situation they never deemed possible. I don't want to give too much away, because that would just spoil it, so I'll just tell you how it starts:

There's a nice happy family - a Mum, Dad, daughters and a son. This son is engaged to Kate (Meg Ryan). In the build-up to their wedding, Kate's fiancée has to go on a business trip to Paris. Soon he has fallen in love with a beautiful French woman, and refuses to return. Kate, determined to get him back, follows him to the French capital - but she gets more than she bargained for when she meets a rather strange French man called Luc (Kevin Kline).

This wonderful film, made in 1995 will never age. It combines hilarity with a beautiful but unexpected romance - but that's all I'm willing to say about content - I really don't want to spoil it!

As for did I enjoy it? Yes - as you have probably already guessed, I thought it was wonderful! Lasting about 1 and 3/4 hours, every minute was entrancing.

Kevin Kline excels himself as he delights us with his French accent. A wonderful lead, he creates magic onscreen with co-star Meg Ryan to give an amazing film!

The DVD cost me £19.99, for nearly 2 hours of sensational acting - it's well worth it!

The film is rated 15, because it has a couple of sex scenes - though nothing too explicit is shown. Swearing is also apparent, though not frequent.

I recommend this film to all those of you who long to see a good film - I think you'll really enjoy it!
Matt

Sounds ok, but don't find much time to watch films.

"The plot crosses the channel from England to France"??? What's that supposed to mean? Meg Ryan's character comes from Canada, I'm sure. England isn't mentioned at all in the movie-do some better research.
Apart from that this review was short and sweet. Well done. Good luck with future reviews, I look forward to reading them.
