Well in this series it is confirmed that Rachel is infact pregnant!!! And the first few episodes of series 8 revolve around the identity of her unborn baby. And there are a couple possibilities...she knows who the dad is but she doesn't want to tell her friends........!

Rachel decides to keep the baby with the man who is the father, although they do NOT have a romantic relationship!

In this series the whole dynamic changes, right up until this point it's always been Rachel and Ross, even when they have both had other lovers, they ahve always been the two who everyone thought were "meant to be", but this series Joey develops feelings for Rachel after spending so much time living with her, but will she feel the same way!?!?

The series ends with Rachel having her baby...but what will this mean for the rest of the group!???

There were rumours in the media that Rachel was going to die during child birth, which I hoped wouldn't happen, it's just NOT in the spirit of friends to kill off one of the main stars! The main reason Friends stopped filming was due to Jennifer Aniston wanting to leave to concentrate on her film career, and this was one way they were going to cut her out, and keep Friends on, but I don't think the show would have been able to continue without her, and I guess the directors thought the same, and kept the show running for two more series before ending it with all characters in tact!!! :-)

I love this series, the whole drama of whose the daddy is amazing, and although we kind of all guessed who it would be, the way it was done was very funny!!! :-) Especially the episode of "who came onto who", when deciphering whose fault it was Rachel was pregnant!!!!

Also the relationship with Joey is sooo sweet, I love watching the vulnerable side of Joey!!!!!

The season finale isn't particularly wonderful I must admit...although pretty funny, and there was alot of drama in it...!!!

This series is the start of the groups "older" friendship, they're all growing up, having children, in real married couples, there's no fooling around anymore, no silliness (on the most part!!). I think this is shown by the change in Joey...when he falls in love properly for the first time in the whole 8 series in the show, we know that there has been a shift in the characters. They're now in their late 20's, early 30's, and this had to be reflected in the way the show was put out there. And I love Friends for this, and I think that is how the show lasted so long!!!

If you loved the older series of Friends, you'll love the newer!!! ;-)
