We have now reached the half way point in the Friends story with Season 5 and this is where the characters and their storylines have become very established and we feel like we really know them and that they are our actual friends. We feel their pain, laugh at their character stereotypes which we know so well and cry at their misfortunes. This DVD box set was released in 2004 and amazingly you can now buy it from Amazon for a very low £5.98, probably because it is over 5 years old and because the re-runs are on the television all the time that people really no longer need to buy the DVD but I think it's nice to have the full set so you can watch your favourite ...  Read the complete review

SERIES 5 of 10! We're halfway through the show!!! And the end of last series was a shocker...!!! We saw the wedding of Ross and Emily...but it all went terribly wrong when Ross said Rachels name and not Emilies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-o nooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! But then again...I hated Emily!!!! Chandler and Monica got it on in London! Much to everyones surpise!!!!!! And so this next series is much to do with them keeping their relationship from everyone else! But can they really keep something so big from their best friends!? This review is specific to series 5; my general explanation of the show itself can be found at the end of this review. Series 5 is my personal favourite. The whole 25 episodes largely revolve around the secret relationship that Monica and Chandler are having. There are some truly gut bustingly funny moments, like when Phoebe trys to call Chandler's bluff by trying it on with him. This may well be my favourite episode ever. What the writers are so cleverly able to do, is pull on 4 years of us knowing the characters, so what we see happening is like watching a family member or (weirdly) a friend. Ok so this is the halfway point in the Friends series , Season 5. Another classic and this is at a time when the show was still brimming with quality and firing on all cylinders, In fact it would be another couple of years before we seen any kind of dip in the series at all. In Season 5 we pick up from where Ross said Rachel's name at the altar and throughout the season we watch as Ross desperately tries to win his wife back, including Emily asking that Ross never see Rachel again.
