I wasn't even aware there was a sequal to this but I was more than willing to give it a go as I have highly enjoyed the original on numerous occassions. Sadly thats not the case there though. When you see a movie and horror icon Bruce Campbell is killed in a lift by a swarm of bats in its opening few minutes (along with the very lovely Tiffany-Amber Thiessen who I mistakenly thought was Nicole De Boer of Cube & Deep Space 9 fame) then you can be pretty worried for what might come afterwards. When these 2 deaths turn out to be a film being watched on stolen cable by lead character Buck (played well enough by Robert Patrick of Terminator 2 fame) ... Read the complete review

Every now and then it seems that studio?s have the brilliant idea to cash in on a successful film by franchising it. When they find a film that worked they seem to drain it of any unique attributes just like they have with the From Dusk Till Dawn films. Now a trilogy Tarantino and Rodriguez have taken a back seat as Executive producers on this sequel. Of course when you?ve actually watched it you will see just why Tarantino and Rodriguez kept as far away as they could. After a completely pointless opening scene in which two people are killed by bats the main film gets underway. Having escaped from ... Read the complete review

You can imagine my excitement when I heard last year that a sequel to From Dusk Till Dawn was in the pipeline. You can then imagine my unspeakable disappointment when I learned that it would star none of the characters from the original film except Razor Charlie, the barman. To add insult to injury, Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez have practically nothing to do with this film, acting merely as executive producers. Small wonder, then, that this was a straight to video release. Instead of continuing the exploits of Seth Gecko, Texas Blood Money is based around new characters. Luther, a bank robber, has recently escaped from jail in Texas and hatches a plan ... Read the complete review

Ok I hold my hand up and admit that I quite enjoyed this film, yes I know it’s nowhere near as good as the original but what did you expect from a straight to video release. The main problem for ‘Texas Blood Money’ is that it always going to compared with the first one. The only remaining actor from the first one is Danny Trejo as the bartender, joining him are Robert Patrick (T2, The Faculty), Bo Hopkins (U-Turn). The opening sequence features cameo’s by Bruce Campbell and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen. Others may be more interested to know that Playboy playmate of August 1994 makes a revealing appearance. The plot this time round tells the ... Read the complete review

From Dusk Till Dawn 2 is about an escaped bank robber, Luther who contacts one of his old robber friends, played well by Robert Patrick, to help him rob a bank. TThey are joined by a few others and stay at a hotle. Luther goes off on his own and stops at the titty twister where he is turned into a bloodsucker. He goes back and starts to turn his crew of robbers into vampires. At the bank there is only one (Patrick) left. The vampires aren't paticualry worried about the police anymore because of their immoratility so when the alarm is set off they continue to rob the bank. Patrick, the only human left runs and gets caught. The police don't believe him ... Read the complete review
