Once in every decade horror turns a corner, to use the most recent examples the 80's had Elm St and The Friday The 13th movies, the 90's had Scream and Blair With, a new century and new decade saw the arrival of Saw quickly strengthened by Hostel creating a genre known as torture porn. Sadly for Frontier(s) this decade has already had its turning point, meaning this French offering has to sit in the wings and follow in the glory of others. Had there been no Saw and no Hostel then the movie may have fared better.
