Dick Harper suddenly finds himself unemployed after being fairly high up in the pecking order in a big company. He has to find a way to survive and maintain his life style. So, in cahoots with his wife, Jane, he plots his revenge on the CEO who was responsible for the circumstances that led to his job loss. They start on a comical, somewhat slapstick campaign to follow in the footsteps of a comedy Bonnie and Clyde and go on the rampage. Must say that this is not the best film iv seen Jim Carrey act in, but it is funny. Jim and Tea Leoni play their roles very well. It begins with Dick getting a better job as an executive in a high-flting multi-million pound company. He tells his wife Jane to quit her job, she's unsure but the next day goes in and quits. little does she know that on his 1st day in his new job, Dick's company shuts down due to money failure. Money gets pretty tight for the family and they have to get rid of all their possessions. Ignore the picture on the DVD provided by Dooyoo this is a review of the latest version of this film which starred Jim Carey and Tia Leone. In this supposed comedy film Carey plays the role of Dick Harper a high flying executive who comes crashing to earth when he loses his job at a bug multi national company, struggling to maintain his life style both he and his wife played by Leone embark on a chaotioc crime spree which sees their robberies escalate before they decide to seek revenge on the man and company that cost Harper his job. I thought this remake of the original version was very funny and typical Jim Carey humour. It touched base with some problems we were having with money and the areas of our life we had to minimise on to survive. I really enjoyed the story and how they plotted to bring the arrogant CEO to his knees after he sold them down the river. The scene in the shop where Jim Carey tries to steal some money to feed the family and then escapes in the car with his wife driving was the funniest scene. He was the high flying executive who got promoted and then left out to dry by the CEO on national television.
